Why choose Aix-en-Provence for a seminar?

Aix is often chosen as neutral ground. For a company whose teams are spread across Marseille, Vitrolles, Salon, Manosque or the Var, it is the easiest place to reach. The same goes for participants arriving from Paris or Lyon: the Aix-en-Provence TGV station, on the Arbois plateau, and Marseille Provence airport are close by.

City centre, edge of town or estate: how to decide?

The city centre, for short formats

For a one-day meeting of 15 to 30 people, central Aix is pleasant: lunch on a terrace, a stroll afterwards, and the bus station and TER station close by. Parking, on the other hand, is difficult; suggest park-and-ride car parks or the train to your participants.

The edge of town, for logistics

Around the TGV station and the Les Milles business park, venues are designed for efficiency: car parks, modular rooms, direct motorway access. It is the right choice when some participants arrive by train that morning and leave in the evening.

The estate, to make a lasting impression

A seminar on a wine estate combines work and team spirit: a plenary in the morning, workshops in the grounds in the afternoon, a tasting, then dinner and a party on site. It takes longer to organise (transport, accommodation, weather), but it is the format teams remember.

What programme for a seminar in the Pays d’Aix?

Here is a running order that works well for a day followed by an evening on an estate:

1. 9am: welcome coffee, settling into the plenary room.
2. 9.30am to 12.30pm: plenary and presentations, with wireless microphones and video projection.
3. 12.30pm: lunch on the terrace.

• An estate with rooms on site: everyone in the same place, no transfer in the evening, and the party can run on without worrying about getting home. It is the most comfortable option, but the number of rooms often limits the headcount.
• A city-centre hotel: participants can enjoy Aix in the evening, but you need to arrange a shuttle to the meeting room or estate in the morning.
• A hotel near the TGV station: convenient for those arriving late the night before or leaving early, less charming for the evening.

In every case, keep a single file of arrivals and departures (train, car, plane) from registration onwards: it lets you size the shuttles, anticipate delays and set the start time of the plenary.

What do you need besides the meeting room?

Estates and bastides are not always equipped for a plenary. Check that there is a powerful video projector (daylight is bright in Provence), a screen large enough for the back of the room, and wireless microphones.
