What does a saxophonist do at a corporate event?

The saxophonist plays at the key moments rather than continuously. At the welcome drinks, they play solo over jazz, soul or reworked pop backing tracks: live background music that dresses the reception without drowning out conversations. During dinner, they stay discreet or accompany a course being served. Later in the evening, they join the DJ and improvise over the tracks that get people dancing.

The DJ and saxophonist duo is the package we recommend most often for a corporate party. The DJ builds the evening, the saxophonist brings what a playlist can’t: a flesh-and-blood musician who comes down among the guests.

How much does a saxophonist cost for a party in Marseille?

The time on site sets the price. At ADJM Événementiel, the three packages are fixed and prices are net, with no VAT to add.

Where should the saxophonist fit in the running order?

1. 7.30pm, guests arrive: lounge solo at the entrance or near the bar.
2. 8.30pm, time to sit down: a last performance to invite the room to take their seats.
3. 10.30pm, the dance floor opens: entrance as a duo with the DJ, ideally with a cold spark machine effect (€50 per machine).
4. 11pm, the party builds: performances on the big tracks, in the middle of the dance floor.

What space and technical set-up do you need?

The saxophonist doesn’t need a stage. They plug into the DJ’s sound system, play with a wireless microphone and move around freely. Outdoors, facing the sea, on a terrace on the Corniche or on the deck of a boat in the Bay of Marseille, simply plan shelter in case of strong wind. For a boat party, they fit in with the boat’s schedule.
