Which performers for which moment of the evening?

Every artist has their moment. Badly placed, a fire act goes unnoticed while guests queue at the buffet; well placed, it becomes the memory of the evening. The table below sums up the most common uses.

How do you organise a fire show safely?

Fire is the most spectacular entertainment, and the most regulated. Many venues ban it indoors, and some ban it altogether. In Marseille, terraces, country-house gardens, private beaches and château grounds lend themselves to it, provided you plan ahead.

1. Check with the venue: is the act allowed, where, and at what time?
2. Define a clear perimeter around the artist, away from dry trees, drapes and tents.
3. Watch the wind: the mistral may force the act to be postponed or moved.
4. Provide a fire extinguisher and a person dedicated to safety during the performance.
5. Inform the insurer and, if necessary, apply for permits.

At ADJM Événementiel, these formalities are covered by the booking fee of €50 per event (insurance and permit applications). When fire is not possible, LED shows and cold spark machines offer a similar effect, with no flame.

How many artists should you plan for?

For an entrance of 100 to 200 guests, one or two stilt walkers are enough to create a buzz from the forecourt. A fire act is usually performed by one or two artists. For a themed party, a small group of dancers sets the tone on the dance floor. We adjust the number of performers to your numbers, venue and budget, on a quote basis.
