Organising a product launch in Marseille
A product launch comes down to a few seconds: the moment the product appears. Everything else, the invitation, the venue, the cocktail reception, the video, is there to build up to that moment and then make it last.
In brief
A product launch brings customers, distributors, press or staff together around a staged reveal, followed by a demonstration and a cocktail reception. Success depends on a full technical rehearsal and on photo and video content delivered quickly. In Marseille, ADJM Événementiel provides the stage, the LED screen (€300 per day), the sound system, the reveal effects and the photographer (from €490), then coordinates the evening.
-
A rehearsed reveal
Countdown, lighting, music, sparks: the key moment is run through several times before the audience arrives.
-
Live control desk
A live technician triggers videos, sound and lighting at exactly the right moment.
-
Content you can use
Photos delivered within 48 hours, a short video for social media available on quote.
-
A branded keepsake
Photo booth with your logo, live keyring engraving: guests leave with your product in mind.
What is the goal of your product launch?
A launch rarely targets everyone at once. For distributors, you show the selling points and the margins. For the press and influencers, you take care of the image and give them something to publish. For your sales teams, you pass on enthusiasm and a sales pitch. For customers, you let them try it. Choose one main audience: it decides the time, the venue and how long the speeches last.
How does a product launch run?
- 2pm, full rehearsal: order of the videos, triggering of the effects, speaker positions, microphone.
- 6pm, welcome: guest list, press on one side, guests on the other, background music.
- 6.45pm, speech: 10 minutes at most to explain why this product exists.
- 7pm, reveal: lights go down, countdown, video on screen, a curtain or sheet drops, cold spark jets.
- 7.10pm, demonstration: hands-on trials at stands or presentations in small groups.
- 7.30pm, cocktail reception: bar in the brand’s colours, photos with the product, press interviews.
- 9.30pm, close: a keepsake or press kit handed out at the exit.
How much does a product launch cost?
Most of a launch budget goes on technical equipment and content, because that is what creates the effect and the images. The venue and catering can be scaled back if the event is short. Here are our guide prices for staging the reveal:
| Item | Use | Net price |
|---|---|---|
| 55-inch LED screen on a stand | Countdown, logo, product visuals | €300 per day |
| 4 × 3 m projection screen | Launch video for more than 80 people | €240 per day |
| Live technician | Live sound, video and lighting control | €45 per hour |
| Cold spark jets | Reveal effect, no flames | €50 per machine |
| Half-day photo coverage | Photos delivered within 48 hours | from €490 |
| Videographer | Event film and short version for social media | on quote |
Where to hold a product launch in Marseille?
The venue must match the product’s image. The converted warehouses of Docks Village in La Joliette, in the Euroméditerranée business district, suit brands with an urban spirit. The Great Hall of the Palais de la Bourse gives a formal setting. The Mucem brings the sea and highly photogenic architecture. The boxes and reception spaces of the Orange Vélodrome speak to sports-related brands.
What entertainment for a product launch?
- An LED and spark show for the reveal itself.
- A photo booth dressed in the product’s theme, with instant sharing via PicShot.
- Live keyring engraving with the brand’s logo and the guest’s first name.
- A saxophonist or a DJ to set the mood for the cocktail reception.
What mistakes should you avoid?
- A reveal that was never rehearsed: a video that fails to play in front of the press cannot be undone.
- Too many speakers: one executive, possibly a product manager, no more.
- Images delivered two weeks later: media interest fades within a few days.
- Forgetting the embargo: if the press is invited, state the time from which they may publish.
What does ADJM Événementiel take care of?
We design the reveal sequence, set up the stage and screens and the sound and lighting, run the control desk and provide the photographer and videographer, plus the bar and music for the cocktail reception.

Our advice to go further
Your questions
How much does a product launch cost?
It all depends on the venue and the number of guests. For the technical side, ADJM Événementiel charges for example €300 per day for an LED screen, €45 per hour for a live technician and €50 per cold spark machine.
When should you hold a product launch?
On a weekday, at the end of the day (6pm to 9.30pm) for press and professionals, who come after work. Avoid the days before school holidays and the weeks of major trade fairs in your sector.
Can you film the launch for social media?
Yes. A videographer from the AlloPhotoMarseille community captures the event and delivers an edited film and a short version for social media, on quote.
How do you pull off a successful product reveal?
With a short sequence (under a minute), a lighting effect, loud music and a simple gesture (a sheet dropping, a screen lighting up). Above all, with a full rehearsal in the afternoon.
