Why choose Aix-en-Provence for a seminar?
Aix brings two worlds together. On one side, the city of art: the Cours Mirabeau, the fountains, the grand townhouses, with the Montagne Sainte-Victoire as a backdrop. On the other, one of the region’s leading economic hubs, with the Les Milles business park and the Arbois technology park, home to many service, engineering and research companies.
The result: many seminars there are organised by local companies that want to get out of the office without going far, and by head offices in Paris or Lyon that use the TGV station to bring their teams together in the sunshine.

When is the best time for an event in Aix-en-Provence?
Spring and early autumn are the most pleasant periods. In summer, outdoor evenings are superb but the afternoons are hot: avoid sporting activities between 1pm and 5pm. In July, the opera festival fills the hotels in the centre: if you need to accommodate your teams, book early or choose a venue on the outskirts.
How should you organise guest transport?
- Guests arriving by train: the TGV station is about fifteen minutes from the centre and about 20 minutes from the airport; a group shuttle avoids an endless queue of taxis.
- A Marseille-based team: a coach from Marseille (35 to 45 minutes depending on the time) lets everyone enjoy the evening without driving.
- A countryside venue: check coach access along the narrow roads and the distance between the car park and the room.
Which formats work best in Aix?
The residential seminar remains the great classic: a plenary in the morning, team building in the grounds in the afternoon, then a gala dinner and dancing. Companies in the business park also hold afterwork drinks and end-of-year parties in function rooms, which are easier to get to after work.
