What does turnkey event planning include?

“Turnkey” means you approve choices instead of managing suppliers. In practice, the organiser takes charge of four areas: the venue (search, visit, contract), food and drink (caterer, drinks, service), the content (entertainment, artists, speeches) and the logistics (technical, transport, floor plan, timings, permits). They also manage the budget and the planning timeline.

What makes the difference is less the list of services than the person who coordinates them. A good project manager asks you questions before proposing anything: why this event, for whom, with what message, and how will you know it has been a success?

Traditional agency or supplier network: what’s the difference?

A general event agency buys most services from suppliers, then adds management fees, often 6 to 10% of the budget. A network like ours brings together the trades of the evening directly. Both models have their logic; here is what changes for you.

The agency benchmarks come from quotes received by a Marseille company for a party of 150 to 200 people: the overall budget ranged from €12,000 to €25,000 excl. VAT. How does a project with ADJM Event work?

1. Proposal: a conversation to understand your objectives, your audience and your budget, then a costed proposal within 48 hours, with one or two venue options.
2. Validation: you choose, we sign with a 30% deposit and launch the planning timeline (bookings, site visit, choice of artists, menu).
3. Delivery: on the day, your project manager is on site, with the minute-by-minute run sheet and every team’s contact details.
4. Review: a debrief once the dust has settled, the photos, and what to keep or change for next year.

When should you start planning?

For an end-of-year party, the most sought-after venues in Marseille are often booked four to six months ahead. A two-day seminar with accommodation generally needs three months. Afterwork drinks or an opening reception can be organised in a few weeks if the venue has already been found. The sooner you contact us, the more choice of dates and venues you have.
